WHY I OWE SIR ALEX – FABIO

Nantes defender Fabio da Silva has said that he owes legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson for the impact he made on his career as a professional footballer. He made this known during an exclusive interview with the Manchester Evening News (MEN). According to him, Sir Alex Ferguson looked after him and his brother Rafael da Silva when they signed for the Red Devils as teenagers over a decade ago.


Fabio da Silva and Rafael da Silva both signed for Manchester United at the same time after they were spotted at a youth tournament. Fabio da Silva said Sir Alex Ferguson is a fantastic person as he thanked him for what the Scot did for him, his brother Rafael and his family. FABIO REVEALS REACTION TO UNITED REUNION

 

Fabio da Silva has revealed the reaction of his twin brother Rafael da Silva to the Champions League draw that pitted Manchester United with his Turkish club Istanbul Basaksehir. In an exclusive interview with Manchester Evening News (MEN), Fabio da Silva revealed that his twin brother was moved to tears on realising that he would return to Old Trafford in the Champions League.


Rafael da Silva and Fabio da Silva have strong ties with Manchester United having spent several years with the club. They both signed for the Red Devils from Brazilian Serie A giants Fluminense in February 2007. Fabio Wants to Play in Brazil

 

Fabio Da Silva, the teenage sensation of yesteryear, recently opened up about his time under Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United and his relationship with his twin, Rafael who too is a wonderful player in his own right. He has also openly expressed his desire to go back and play the last few years of his professional football in Brazil.


The Brazilian played in the English Premier League for Manchester United, Cardiff City, and Middlesborough before making his move to France where he is currently playing for Nantes.

Manchester United defeat to Bournemouth last week stopped a run of three consecutive victories for the Red Devils. An early goal by Josh King was all that was required for the Cherries to come away with all three points.

ARSENAL AND NAPOLI BATTLE FOR LEFTBACK

Arsenal are said to be in a close battle with Italian side Napoli for Celtic right back Kieran Tierney according to reports from England. The Celtic defender had been the subject of two bids from the Gunners already which had been rejected.

It is understood that an initial bid of £15 million and a subsequent bid of £20 million had been turned down by the Scottish giants. it is understood that Italian giants Napoli have become the latest club to be linked with a move to for the player as they look to strengthen their defence ahead of next season.
