Manchester United have been linked to several players in the off season as the club looks to strengthen different positions in the team.

One area where the club are looking to get a good player is in the right back position where the club has struggled for a while. During the last days of Ferguson, he called on the da Silva twins Raphael and Fabio to play those positions.

Currently, the club is short of players in this position and Juventus defender is reportedly high on the list of potential signings according to reports from Italy.  These reports claim that Manchester United have begun negotiations for the Portuguese defender.

Juventus are understood to be open to the idea of selling the player for around £52 million. Cancelo has not always been the first choice for Juventus coach Allegri as he usually prefers the more conservative De Sciglio.

Cancelo is younger and has a good market value as he has played for Inter Milan, Valencia and Juventus which are top teams.

However, Cancelo has denied any reports of a transfer to Old Trafford. Speaking to the media he revealed that he is happy at the club and that he wants to win titles.

Cancelo made only 10 appearances in 2019 which would not have gone down well for the player. This transfer looks feasible as every tabloid in Italy is talking about a potential deal.

Meanwhil, United have also been linked with a bumper transfer for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly. It is thought that the Old Trafford outfit believes that Koulibaly can have a transformative effect on the defence just like Van Dirk for Liverpool.

A world record fee of £100 million has been touted around with Napoli not keen on selling its priced asset.

Manchester United would do well to secure the signings of both players as this could revive the club ahead of next season.
